The Viking House - Free rent, in exchange for bills paid and upkeep of our Bulgarian House.
Our current custodian Tom has had to move on due to a family emergency, and we are looking for friendly folks to care for and look after our Bulgarian house. We can offer free rent in exchange for bills and upkeep of the property. We are happy to discuss ideas for updating the property also and are particularly keen to here from artists and musicians as would be keen to help develop it into an art project space. Set near Veliko Tarnarvo, the ancient Thracian capital of Bulgaria, The Viking House is a creative place or tranquillity in the hills near to Polski Trambesh, on a train line to Sofia with roads nearby to the sea and mountains. In 2018-19 Dan Petley created a community public art project with the locals: Karantsi Brick Project... https://www.brickproject.co.uk/projects/karantsi-village-bulgaria As a great example of the potential of engagement within and around the village.
