We're looking for land upon which to start a One Planet Development project. Gareth is from Aberystwyth and Nicky from Cardiff. Our plan is to plant a mixed Welsh heritage and cider apple/pear orchard of approximately 600 trees and set up a small-scale, off-grid traditional cider making business and fruit tree nursery in order to meet the requirements of the One Planet Development scheme and upon which eventually to build our home. We require around 8 acres pasture with 2-3 acres woodland if we are to reach our goal. We sold our property last year so are cash buyers, and we are happy to pay a fair price for the right piece of land. We already have over half the trees ready to plant out and hope to have the rest this winter. Ideally the land will be south facing and not too high - below around 600 feet at most. There are certain other requirements set out by One Planet Development concerning access, visibility etc, but we would be happy to discuss our plans in more detail and can view land at a time convenient to you. We're serious buyers with concrete proposals in place, but have struggled to source the land necessary to fulfil them.
