Eco-house with land. This tranquil house is placed on a wooded hillside with beautiful, extensive views. It has about 1 acre of land, including an almond grove, and is ideal for an ecologically-aware lifestyle.

The nearest town is 12 k (8 miles) with many traditional historic Spanish buildings, numerous shops, several large supermarkets, a busy weekly market, primary and secondary schools, a big modern sports centre and gym with an Olympic size pool, 2 concert halls (classical music is a very important part of the local culture) a conservatoire, award-winning ballet school, museums displaying the town’s history back to Phoenician times (Hannibal lived up the coast), archaeological sites, parks, modern general hospital, banks, restaurants and clean regular (but a bit slow, stops at every station) metro to Valencia city.

The airport, fast inter-city rail connections, city and beaches are 30-40 mins by car on A roads and motorway, often traffic-free, so easily accessible if you want the facilities of a dynamic city, massive beaches with safe swimming, and international travel. Equally, it’s an easy drive high up into the mountain ranges for the views, rural restaurants, and terrific walking and cycling. Cycling is very popular in this region, and there are rural cycle paths to the village, town and city.

This house offers rural tranquility with abundant wildlife – it’s on many birds’ migration routes, so in addition to local eagles, blackbirds, hoopoe birds and finches many others fly through, including groups of golden oriols. I’ve recently seen rabbits, hares and a toad in the garden.

The house offers opportunities for self-sufficiency and air B&B/camping, and cycling/walking holidays. It’s a beautiful environment, and this property is offered at a reasonable price for anyone wanting to build up a rural home and business – or just enjoy peace, and live in it as it is. It’s been cared for and modernised in recent years – it’s a good specification for a rural Spanish property. It’s a pleasant environment socially, local people are decent neighbours, and you can be sure you’d be made to feel welcome by both native Spaniards and the small international expat community.

It is legally registered. You won’t be making the mistake of buying a worthless illegal property, as many people have done, sadly, when buying in Spain. Additional agricultural land is likely to be available at a low rent/purchase price if you wish to expand the holding.
