| We downshifted some time ago and haven't yet re-bought. We're both teachers, although only one of us works full time now but also have a handful of sheep, 4 dogs (who generally live out) and 4 cats, half a dozen chickens, a tortoise and a dozen ducks. Our children are all independent now.
We need to move out of our present rental farmhouse after three and a half years as the landlords have sold it. We'd like to rent anything suitably rural, probably for up to a year, perhaps for longer - smallholding, farmhouse, cabin, cottage, almost anything if it has even a small paddock which we can use while we consider where to buy, and ideally a small workshop or barn - my other half turns wood and sells a reasonable amount of it, so we would like to keep that going while we decide what comes next. We'd happily look at a longer rental if there were more land and more possibilities - I work in Somerset but we live in Devon currently and don't mind a commute at all. Anything considered if it's rentable with animals! We have very good references. |
